HOW SOURCING WORKS

One portfolio. Competing quotes. One advisor who stays on the account.

Level2 works with a portfolio of more than 200 technology suppliers across voice, connectivity, cloud, security and mobility. The vendors on this page are some of the ones we return to most often, and the portfolio extends much further. That reach lets us quote and compare competing suppliers for the same requirement, side by side. You sign directly with the supplier at the supplier's pricing, and our compensation comes from the supplier's channel program, not from a markup on your bill. Read more on how technology advisors work.

That structure removes the reason to push a single brand. When three phone providers can all serve a 40 person company, we recommend the one that fits how your team works and what you already run, and we show you the alternatives.

After you sign, we stay on the account. We track the renewal date (our renewal checklist explains why the timing matters), and when a supplier's support stalls or a bill is wrong, we escalate through the supplier's partner channel, which gets a response a single customer account rarely does.

How we choose vendors

  • Single sign-on with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, so your team keeps one login
  • No seat minimums or contract structures that price out a 20 person company
  • US based support with a defined escalation path
  • Predictable pricing per user or per device, with terms we can explain in one sentence
  • An active partner program, with a channel manager and engineers we can bring in
  • A track record we have seen in production, not only on a slide
VOICE AND UCAAS

Teams calling or a standalone phone platform, whichever fits.

If your team already works in Microsoft Teams, adding calling to it is often the shortest path. When you need a richer standalone platform, a contact center, or heavy texting and fax, these are the providers we quote most often.

Teams calling through Operator Connect: CallTower and Momentum both deliver calling plans and phone numbers directly into Microsoft Teams, so your team keeps one app and one directory. Number porting, auto attendants and call queues are part of the setup. Read our guides to choosing a business phone system and getting your internet ready for voice.
CallTower Momentum Zoom RingCentral Dialpad 8x8 Intermedia GoTo Ooma Office
  • CallTower

Operator Connect and Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams, with Zoom Phone and Webex options under one account. A strong first quote for companies that want Teams calling now and contact center or analytics add-ons later.

  • Momentum

Operator Connect calling for Teams with SIP, texting and fax. A practical fit for legal and healthcare practices that want Teams as the only phone system and still depend on fax.

  • Zoom

Zoom Phone and Zoom Workplace for organizations that already live in Zoom meetings. Clean Microsoft 365 calendar and sign-in integration, simple per user pricing, and a contact center that scales down to small teams.

  • RingCentral

RingEX for a full standalone phone platform, or RingCentral for Microsoft Teams when you want RingCentral call handling behind the Teams client. A deep feature set for multi-location companies with receptionists and call groups.

  • Dialpad

AI native calling with live transcription and call summaries built in. Fits sales and client facing teams that want coaching and call intelligence without a separate contact center contract.

  • 8x8

Voice, video and contact center on one platform, with a Teams integration for companies that want 8x8 handling calls while users stay in Teams. Strong international calling for companies with overseas clients or staff.

  • Intermedia

Intermedia Unite for a standalone phone platform and Intermedia for Teams calling, with archiving and compliance options that matter in regulated practices. Pricing and support built around small and mid-sized organizations.

  • GoTo

GoTo Connect combines phone, meetings and messaging with simple administration and a low per user price. A sensible choice for a small office that wants dependable calling without a long feature list.

  • Ooma Office

Entry level business phone with fast setup, month to month terms and the core features a small office uses: auto attendant, ring groups, mobile app and virtual fax. Often the right answer for the smallest teams.

CYBERSECURITY

Secure access, 24x7 monitoring and compliance programs.

Most companies start with the security built into Microsoft 365 or the tools they already have. These vendors cover what sits beyond that: secure remote access, a 24x7 security operations team, compliance programs and incident response.

Not sure which controls come first? Read our guide to cybersecurity for small business, and check what your Microsoft 365 plan already includes before buying more.
  • Cato Networks

Single vendor SASE: SD-WAN, secure web gateway, firewall as a service and Zero Trust network access from one cloud. Fits multi-site companies replacing branch firewalls and VPN appliances at once.

  • Cloudflare

Cloudflare One for Zero Trust access, DNS filtering and secure web gateway, using Microsoft Entra ID or another identity provider for sign-in. A natural fit for cloud first companies with a remote workforce and no office network to protect.

  • Nord Security (NordLayer)

Business VPN and Zero Trust network access priced per user, with no minimum that excludes small teams. Single sign-on, dedicated IP addresses for vendor allowlists, and device posture checks that work alongside device management tools such as Intune.

  • SilverSky

Managed detection and response with a 24x7 US security operations center, plus email protection. A fit when cyber insurance or a compliance framework requires a formal security operations relationship.

  • Ontinue

Extended detection and response built on Microsoft Defender and Sentinel. Ontinue works inside the Microsoft security tools you already license, which avoids a second agent and a second console on every device.

  • AgileBlue

A security operations center as a service with SIEM and XDR on its own platform, sized and priced for mid-sized organizations. Useful when a framework requires centralized log retention and 24x7 monitoring with audit ready reporting.

  • CyberMaxx

Managed detection and response paired with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. A fit when auditors or insurers want continuous monitoring and periodic testing from one accountable provider.

  • Cytellix

Cybersecurity and compliance program services for CMMC, NIST 800-171 and HIPAA. Cytellix runs the program layer: gap assessment, policies, System Security Plan, POA&M and continuous compliance tracking, alongside the team that implements the controls.

  • Blue Team Alpha

Incident response, breach investigation and recovery, with retainer options so a response team is under contract before an incident. Also provides virtual CISO services for organizations that need security leadership without a full time hire.

CLOUD, BACKUP AND RECOVERY

For the workloads your main cloud does not cover.

Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and the major clouds handle most of what a growing business runs. These providers cover the exceptions: a legacy application that still needs a Windows desktop, an independent backup of Microsoft 365 data, and disaster recovery with a tested runbook.

Planning backups? Read our guide to backup and disaster recovery, and see which Microsoft 365 plan fits each role.
  • RapidScale

Azure hosting, Microsoft 365 backup and hosted desktops, with US based support that consistently rates well with partners. Often our first quote when a legacy application needs hosting without your own Azure footprint.

  • Rackspace

Public cloud operations across Azure, AWS and Google Cloud, plus a Microsoft 365 practice. Fits companies with a development team or a vendor application that must run in a specific cloud with 24x7 operations behind it.

  • XTIUM

Desktop as a service and hosted application delivery, formed from the merger of Evolve IP and ATSG. A fit when a few users still need a legacy application on a Windows desktop while the rest of the business runs in the cloud.

  • 11:11 Systems

Disaster recovery as a service, cloud backup and Microsoft 365 backup with immutable storage and documented recovery testing. Our recommendation when you need an independent copy of Microsoft 365 data held outside Microsoft.

  • Assured Data Protection

Backup and disaster recovery built on Rubrik and run as a service, with per workload pricing. Suited to companies with regulatory retention requirements that want a dedicated team watching backups rather than a console to check.

MOBILITY AND MDM

Device management covers the phone. These vendors handle the line, the hardware and the bill.

Tools such as Microsoft Intune manage and secure your phones. What they do not do is activate carrier lines, buy and stage devices, or audit a wireless invoice. That is where these providers come in.

  • Verizon Business

Business wireless lines, pooled data plans and fixed wireless internet for backup or primary connectivity. Sourcing through Level2 gives a small account a channel manager and an escalation path it would not get at a retail store.

  • AT&T Business

Business wireless and FirstNet for organizations that support public safety or healthcare, plus fixed wireless and fiber where available. A fit for companies with field staff who need priority network access.

  • T-Mobile for Business

Business wireless and 5G fixed internet through the T-Mobile Hyperion partner program. Competitive for cost conscious companies and for 5G backup circuits at offices without a second wired provider.

  • Advantix

Mobility services: carrier agnostic plan management, device procurement and staging, and support for mobile users. Fits companies with 25 or more lines that do not want an office manager running the wireless account.

  • Wireless Watchdogs

Mobility lifecycle services: device kitting, deployment, repair and replacement logistics, and end user support, coordinated with your device management enrollment. Useful for distributed or field based teams.

  • vMOX

Mobility expense management that continuously reviews carrier invoices and plan assignments and adjusts them to cut spend. Typically pays for itself at 50 or more lines, and adds carrier side inventory visibility that device management reporting cannot see.

On internet connectivity: call quality and cloud performance depend on the circuit underneath them. We also source business internet and SD-WAN, including Comcast Business, Spectrum Business, AT&T, Lumen and Bigleaf Networks, and we specify the circuit as part of any phone or secure access project. Read our guide to choosing business internet.
QUESTIONS WE HEAR

Vendor sourcing questions

One conversation covers competing suppliers. We quote and compare them on one engagement, with engineering and contract support behind each quote, so you are not sitting through a separate sales cycle with every vendor. And because we are not a reseller for one brand, the recommendation follows your requirements.

No. You contract with the supplier at the supplier's pricing. Our compensation comes from the supplier's channel program, not from a markup on your invoice. What you get on top is someone who compared the options, negotiated the terms and stays on the account when something needs escalation.

Yes. This page lists some of the suppliers we return to most often for the companies we work with. Our portfolio extends much further, and if your requirement is better met by a supplier not listed here, we will quote it.

The vendor's support line stays your first call for day to day issues. When a ticket stalls, a bill is wrong or a renewal needs negotiating, call us. We work the supplier's partner channel, which carries more weight than a single customer account.

Often, yes. Many suppliers allow an existing account to be assigned to a new partner of record, which gives us visibility and escalation rights on the account without changing your contract or pricing. Where that is not possible, we track the renewal date and compete the service when the term ends. Our renewal checklist covers the timing.

Yes. Your IT team stays in every decision. We take on the vendor research, quotes and negotiation so they can stay focused on running IT.
